The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service point established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
